Identify the circuit or joint first. For wiring, specify current, allowed voltage drop and termination. For windings, include available space, insulation and temperature-rise limits. For battery connections, include the terminal materials and welding process. Send the drawing and the qualification requirements for the vehicle program.

Define the program requirements
Send the OEM or program material specification, drawing revision and qualification stage. Check the actual termination or weld, thermal cycling and required records for that part. A material specification alone does not establish approval for the vehicle program.
