Flat and Round Conductors for Motor Windings
Compare winding conductors within the space and temperature-rise limits of your motor. Include the conductor dimensions, insulation system, winding process and electrical target. A CCA trial should compare the finished winding with the copper baseline, including resistance, forming behavior and the amount of material required.

Compare within the winding space
Copper and CCA round or flat conductors must be compared at the required winding resistance and temperature rise. Equal width and thickness alone does not hold electrical performance constant. Include the material quantity and process yield when comparing cost.
Define bare conductor and insulation separately
Specify the metal dimensions and temper, then insulation type, build and finished dimensions. Bare conductor supply and an enameled-conductor inquiry are separate requests; confirm the insulation route for the proposed winding.
Record the trial winding
Record conductor dimensions, bend behavior, surface or coating damage, finished-coil resistance and temperature rise. Include the terminal joint and winding process in the trial. View Copper Flat Wire · View CCA Flat Wire
