Manufacturing Process

This product is manufactured using Clad & Weld process with metallurgical bonding. It is NOT electroplated.

Metallurgical bonding creates a permanent metallurgical connection, ensuring stable reliability compared to electroplating. This enables excellent weldability, designed to resist peeling during bending, and stable performance under thermal cycling conditions.

Copper Clad Steel Stranded Wire

RAYTRON Copper Clad Steel Stranded Wire is made from CCS single wires manufactured using advanced Clad & Weld process with metallurgical bonding between copper layer and steel core, tensile strength up to 850-1300MPa. Uniform copper layer thickness (10-30%), conductivity 20-40% IACS, density approximately 8.15 g/cm³. Suitable for overhead ground wires, grounding systems, and electrified railways requiring high mechanical strength. Grounding lifespan up to 30 years. Compliant with ASTM B227 and IEEE 80.
