Selection and processing
Specify the manufacturing route independently from the use. Winding foil, shielding foil and electrode/circuit-board foil need different surface and process requirements. Add slit width and roll or sheet format to the thickness reference.
Specifications and Documentation
Identify the product form, standard and edition required by the drawing. A material standard does not establish approval for the finished assembly. Agree inspection methods, acceptance limits and required documents for the order.
Use the drawing and a material/form-specific purchase specification. Round-wire references do not qualify rolled strip, foil or flat wire. Confirm edition, methods and acceptance criteria.
