Selection and processing
A narrow ribbon section is specified by width and thickness rather than diameter. Define edge condition, bend direction and feed or winding tension for the small part. Ribbon wire is a product form; it does not imply a PV solder coating.
Specifications and Documentation
Identify the product form, standard and edition required by the drawing. A material standard does not establish approval for the finished assembly. Agree inspection methods, acceptance limits and required documents for the order.
Use the drawing and a material/form-specific purchase specification. Round-wire references do not qualify rolled strip, foil or flat wire. Confirm edition, methods and acceptance criteria.
