Selection and processing
Define the drawing and material requirements, including the downstream forming, joining or insulation process. State which tests and documents the part needs. The review identifies feasible construction, sample preparation and quotation requirements for the requested form.
Specifications and Documentation
Identify the product form, standard and edition required by the drawing. A material standard does not establish approval for the finished assembly. Agree inspection methods, acceptance limits and required documents for the order.
Use the drawing and a material/form-specific purchase specification. Round-wire references do not qualify rolled strip, foil or flat wire. Confirm edition, methods and acceptance criteria.
