Specify width, thickness and edge condition, conductor material and temper, enamel build and insulation class. Include bend requirements, thermal duty and the applicable wire test standard. Qualify the complete insulated conductor in the winding process.
Specifications and Documentation
Identify the product form, standard and edition required by the drawing. A material standard does not establish approval for the finished assembly. Agree inspection methods, acceptance limits and required documents for the order.
Use the drawing and a material/form-specific purchase specification. Round-wire references do not qualify rolled strip, foil or flat wire. Confirm edition, methods and acceptance criteria.
