Selection and processing
This page concerns round wire. Separate bare metal diameter, insulation build and finished outer diameter, and identify copper or aluminum as the base conductor. The insulation system and test requirements are separate from the metal grade.
Specifications and Documentation
Identify the product form, standard and edition required by the drawing. A material standard does not establish approval for the finished assembly. Agree inspection methods, acceptance limits and required documents for the order.
Use the drawing and a material/form-specific purchase specification. Round-wire references do not qualify rolled strip, foil or flat wire. Confirm edition, methods and acceptance criteria.
