Flat Wire Drawing Checklist
Define width, thickness, corner radius and material condition before evaluating a winding. Add the bend direction, bend radius, insulation requirements and spool format so the sample can be tested on the intended equipment.

Annotate the drawing for the intended winding
Fill in the input cells, then copy the table and paste it into your inquiry. Leave unknown items blank.
On narrow screens, scroll to see all columns.
| Drawing item | What to specify | Your input |
|---|---|---|
| Material branch | Copper, aluminum or identified clad construction; grade, condition and resistance target | |
| Bare section | Width, thickness, separate tolerances and corner radius | |
| Finished section | Insulation build, finished dimensions and corner coverage where insulated | |
| Shape and bends | Straightness, coil set, long-/short-edge bend direction and radius | |
| Winding trial | Turn count, space limit, tension, joining method and insulation checks | |
| Spool | Core/flange dimensions, traverse, winding direction, payoff and protection |
Copy before opening inquiry.
Record the trial and order basis
Keep the drawing revision, sample identifiers, method, test conditions, acceptance limits and measured results together. Resolve open fields with the specification owner before comparing offers or releasing a changed construction.
